Waves lap against the shore, seagulls squawk...and Otis Redding sits there alone, watching the tide roll away, watching the ships, just sitting there. He probably gets up now and then to find food or a bathroom. Great guitar work by Steve Cropper, I especially love the lick at the end of 'wasting time.' Nice horns on this too. I can think of worse places to be than a dock in San Francisco ... like some little town in Georgia, haha. What an amazing voice, so soulful, wish he were still around singing great tunes all over the world. Love the whistling at the end.
